PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pet food capable of ameliorating overweight of a pet, improving excremental smell and reduction of calcium availability, or the like, and enabling a pet to be fed under cleaner environment so as to aim at health maintenance/recovery of the pet. SOLUTION: This pet food is characterized by containing a xylo-oligo saccharide, wherein the xylo-oligo saccharide contains <50 wt.% of xylobiose, and in particular, tetramer or higher xylo-oligo saccharides in the content of >=50 wt.%, and trimer, tetramer, pentamer and hexamer xylo-oligo saccharides in the content of >=40 wt.%. |
