PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide backing fabrics for a tufted carpet which achieve a higher adhesion between the rear of the tufted carpet and a floor surface and a higher safety with excellent anti-slippage performances by arranging moderate elasticity and a buffering property. SOLUTION: In the backing fabrics for the tufted carpet, fibrous backing fabrics made of a thermoplastic resin is used as base backing fabrics and an antislippage layer comprising a polyolefin resin with the coefficient of dynamic friction of 0.5 or more is laminated on the undersurface of a laminate of a foamed sheet made of a thermoplastic resin stuck on the rear of the base backing fabrics.
