PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book shelf easy to take out which enables separating and taking out of necessary books along from the book shelf in which a plurality of books are housed being closely pressed against each other. SOLUTION: In the book shelf in which books are housed side by side, there are arranged, on the upper side of a shelf board, a contact member which is provided near the rear side thereof and extended across the width thereof and an uneven protruded part which is installed near the front side thereof and extended across the width thereof.
