PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventing agent for relapse of cerebral apoplexy comprising a compound which is represented by the formula (1), capable of preventing the relapse of the cerebral apoplexy and improving survival ratio in a patient with the cerebral apoplexy even in a dose without lowering blood pressure and is resultantly an agent favorable for not only the patient with the cerebral apoplexy accompanied by hypertension but also the patient with the relapse of the cerebral apoplexy accompanied by a normal blood pressure or a slight degree of hypertension for which a hypotensive agent therapy is unfavorable according to the selection of the dose. SOLUTION: This preventing agent for the relapse of the cerebral apoplexy comprises the compound represented by the formula (1) wherein, R<1> denotes a 1-4C alkyl group which may be substituted with amino group; R<2> denotes hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl group; and R<3> denotes hydrogen atom, a 1-8C linear or branched alkyl group, a mono- or a dicycloalkylalkyl group or a group represented by the formula -CH2 -S-CH(R<4> )-R<5> [wherein, R<4> denotes hydrogen atom or a 1-4C alkyl group; R<5> denotes a 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl group or R<4> and R<5> together form a 3-6C cycloalkyl group]}, its salt or a solvate thereof.
