PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus capable of preventing image quality degradation due to the deviation of a phase in the case of using a high-speed photographing method and obtaining the video images of high image quality. SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is constituted of a first gradient magnetic field applying means (5, 6) for selecting and applying a slice gradient magnetic field and a read gradient magnetic field, a means (14) for calculating a correction value on the basis of magnetic resonance signals obtained by the means, a second gradient magnetic field applying means (5, 6) for selecting and applying the slice gradient magnetic field, the read gradient magnetic field and a phase encode magnetic field, and a correction means (14) for correcting the magnetic resonance signals obtained by the second gradient magnetic field applying means on the basis of the correction value obtained by the calculating means.
