METHOD FOR SEARCHING FOR SPECIFIC SEQUENCE, METHOD FOR ESTIMATING MINIMUM SPECIFIC SEQUENCE, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for searching for a nucleic acid sequence required for designing a probe or a primer in order to adequately find out the nucleic acid sequence by utilizing the whole object sequence. SOLUTION: This method is to search for a specific nucleic acid sequence which is a nucleic acid sequence of a certain length in a target region without appearing in the object sequence outside the target region in order to find out the minimum sequence ligating to only each target region in the object sequence. The method includes a step of specifying the same unit sequences as unit sequences of a prescribed length related to respective nucleic acids in the target region in the object sequence, a step of comparing the unit sequence of the prescribed length with a set of the same unit sequences and finding out the length of a continuous nucleic acid sequence containing the unit sequences of the prescribed length so as to agree with the other continuous nucleic acid sequences, and a step of specifying the specific sequence containing the respective nucleic acids based on the length of the found out continuous nucleic acid sequence.
