PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an odor eliminating and sterilization composition having an excellent odor eliminating effect, an excellent sterilization effect and further antistatic and stain-proof effects and an odor eliminating and sterilization method utilizing the same. SOLUTION: This water-soluble composition for odor eliminating and sterilization is so formulated as to contain respectively at least one kind of a film forming agent and lower alcohol and to contain an odor eliminating and/or sterilization agent. This water-soluble composition is sprayed in the form of aerosol or by using a hand spray.
