PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate surging of sparks generated in the case of the disconnection of a cord by using a bushing as a protective member for the cord for supplying source powers. SOLUTION: In the hair drier, a handle 4 as a grip is provided on a body 25 which has a fan 6, a motor 5 and a heater part 9 arranged inside a housing 3 having an air discharge port 1, an air channel and an air intake port 2. A bushing 12 as a cord protective member is provided at a connection part of a cord 11 for supplying source powers. A cover piece 13 to be applied on the cord 11 is provided at the tip part of the bushing 12 along the length of the cord.
