PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving and low noise foam generator. SOLUTION: The foam generator 6 has a pump section 4 for supplying air to a tank 3 generating a foam by mixing a cleaning solution 1 and air, a pump chamber 5 airtightly enclosing the pump section 4. An air intake route 9 provided between an external air inlet 8 outside the pump chamber 5 and an air inlet 7 of the pump section 4 is a sound-deadening space 10.
