PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the protection of cords and stabilization of grips depending on the shape of handles and the way of installing the cords of a compact hair drier. SOLUTION: In the hair drier, a handle 4 as a grip is connected to a body 25 which has a fan 6, a motor 5 and a heater part 9 provided inside a housing 3 having an air discharge port 1, an air channel and an air inlet port 2. The cord 11 for supplying source powers is led out from near the connection point of the body 25 and the handle 4 being kept off the handle 4.
