PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for image processing, which can effectively use image information by suppressing the cutout of an effective part of an image in trimming processing, a program which implements the image processing method, and a storage medium stored with the program implementing the image processing method. SOLUTION: Image data conversion is so carried out when the image G is trimmed to a specified size, that the image G is rotated, so when the image is trimmed, for example, from 17×17 (inch) to 14×17 (inch), the image data conversion is so carried out that the image is rotated, thereby suppressing the cutout of the effective part of the image even when the image is trimmed. |
