SOLUTION: This image extracting device is provided with a distance image preparing means 6 for preparing a distance image 5 in which a color is changed for each distance on the basis of distance information calculated from a plurality of visible light images 4 obtained by photographing an object 2, a correspondence point extracting means 7 for calculating correspondence points of a thermal image 3 of the object 2 and the distance image 5, a matrix preparing means 8 for calculating a conversion matrix that coincides the correspondence point of the distance image 5 with that of the thermal image 3, an image coinciding means 9 for specifying the object 2 in the distance image 5 and also converting either an area including the object 2 of the distance image 5 or the thermal image 3 with the conversion matrix before or after this specification to coincide both images with each other, and an image extracting means 10 for extracting the object 2 from the thermal image 3 by utilizing the position of the object 2 in the coincided distance image 5'.
