PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient light-emitting element and a light-emitting device applied with it. SOLUTION: The light-emitting element comprises an n-type or p-type substrate, a region doped with a specified dopant very lightly with a conductivity- type, opposite to that of the substrate so that emission takes place at the p-n junction part through quantum restraint effect, a resonator for enhancing wavelength selectivity of light emitted at the p-n junction, and first and second electrodes formed respectively on the opposite side and one side of the substrate in order to inject holes and electrons. Since a region, doped very lightly and emitting light at a p-n junction through quantum restraint effect, is provided and a structure resonating only with light in a specified wavelength band is added, superior efficiency is attained, while significantly enhancing wavelength selectivity. Furthermore, emitted intensity is amplified through the resonance structure and straight advance properties of emitted light is enhanced greatly. |
