<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller of a generator for vehicle, in which power generation can be stopped instantaneously and in safety, through an inexpensive system arrangement, when a key switch is turned off without requiring to interrupt a large current. SOLUTION: The controller of a generator for vehicle comprises a generator 2 for vehicle, a battery 5 charged with the output from the generator for vehicle, a circuit 1 for controlling the generation voltage to a specified level, by interrupting a transistor 1j for controlling conduction/interruption of the field current of the generator for vehicle, when the detection voltage of the battery is higher than a reference level otherwise conducting the transistor 11. A power generation stopping circuit 6 having a circuit 6a for detecting turn-off of the key switch 4 of a vehicle and stopping power generation of the generator for vehicle upon detecting turn-off of the key switch 4, where a power generation stopping terminal K being connected with the control terminal of the transistor for controlling conduction/interruption is provided, and the power generation stopping circuit 6 controls the power generation stopping terminal K to stop power generation instantaneously, upon detection of turn-off of the key switch.</p> |
