PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when heavy pressurizing load is externally added to the back cover of a liquid crystal display, the back cover deforms and directly pushes the housing and this causes deformation or cracks in the liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: A reinforcing plate 5 to prevent contact between the housing 6 and the back cover 8 is provided on the side face 3c of the outer frame 3. The reinforcing plate 5 is fitted to the recess 9 formed on the side face 3c of the outer frame 3.
