PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk image signal recording method in which a broadcast program on a different channel is recordable simultaneously. SOLUTION: In an image signal recorder for encoding an image signal in units of frame to record it on a disk, the image signal recorder is constituted of N pieces of CH frame memories 251 to 25N, a frame memory 29 and an encoder 30. In the N pieces of CH frame memories 251 to 25N, when the image signal of N channels (CH) is simultaneously recorded, the signals obtained by A/D-converting the image signal of the NCH are stored, respectively, and a pixel relating to a frame image of a frame signal of each CH stored is subjected to thinning 1/m, and a line is subjected to thinning 1/n (m, n are a natural numeric in which N=m×n is 2 or more), and a decreased image decrease frame signal is generated to output it. In the frame memory 29, each image decrease frame signal output from the N pieces of CH frame memory is stored in a region divided for the image decrease frame signal. In the encoder 30, an output of the frame memory is encoded and the output is supplied to the disk.
