An automobile motor drives a two-part flywheel assembly linked to a clutch and gearbox. The flywheel assembly consists a first flywheel which is separated from the second flywheel by a torsion dampening unit. The two flywheels are able to turn with respect to each other in a direction opposite to the effect of a dampening assembly located between them. The dampening assembly has energy-storage masses located at the periphery.
