PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which reduction of discharge capacity due to charge and discharge cycle is small. SOLUTION: In the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that comprises a generating element in which a sheet-form electrode plate having a mixture layer on both faces of a current collector and a sheet-form negative electrode plate having a mixture layer on both faces of a current collector are wound through a separator, the sheet-form negative electrode plate has VGCF(vapor growth carbon fiber) only on one face of the mixture layer, and the mixture layer containing the above VGCF is on the outside of the current collector based on the winding axle of the generating element.
