PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adapt one device to a plurality of kinds of holograms. SOLUTION: This card genuineness decision device which decides whether a card 1 provided with a specific hologram corresponding to the kind of the card 1 is genuine according to the hologram is equipped with a measurement light projection system (semiconductor laser 25a, collimator lens 25b) for projecting measurement light on the hologram, an area sensor 28 which photodetects the diffracted light of the measurement luminous flux P reflected by the hologram, decision arithmetic means 30 to 32 which decide whether the card 1 is genuine by performing operations corresponding to various holograms according to the signal from the area sensor 28, and a selecting means (changeover switch 24, switch circuit 29) which selects one of the decision arithmetic means 30 to 32. |
