<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power supply for driving a motor upon stoppage of a vehicle or an engine, by generating a high voltage AC power from battery power utilizing a generator. SOLUTION: The power supply comprises a generator 50 provided, in a low-voltage winding group 55, with a switching device 60 for supplying/ interrupting a current at a high frequency and a flux control ring 7 for regulating the flux density, and a motor 25 driven by power generated from the generator 50. Upon stoppage of a vehicle or an engine, a battery 56 storing power generated from the generator 50 supplies a current to the switching device 60, which generates a high-frequency pulse current which is fed to the low voltage winding group 55. A high voltage, corresponding to the winding ratio, is induced in a high voltage winding group 54 by the high-frequency pulse current and the motor 25 is driven with the high AC voltage.</p> |
