PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing method which is capable of realizing overrecording of signals with the same sensation as that of a VTR, a signal processor, a program and a recording medium. SOLUTION: This signal processing method has recording/reproducing means 105 for reproducing the information signals from the recording medium, control means 101 for instructing the stop of the reproduction of the information signals by the recording/reproducing means 105, the recording/reproducing means 105 for recording the fresh information signals to the recording medium, a control section 100 for making prescribed instruction and reproduction list processing means 103 for forming the reproduction list information for controlling the reproduction procedures of the recording/reproducing means 105 in such a manner that the freshly recorded information signals are reproduced in succession to the information signal signals meeting the reproduction stop position by the control means 101.
