PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide network devices, connected to a plurality of networks adopting a logic channel, between which communication by bulk transfer can be attained. SOLUTION: The network device is provided with an Ethernet (R) port 11, a frame relay port 12, a configuration definition section 20 that stores configuration definition information, and a PPP(Point-To-Point Protocol) control section 23. The configuration definition section 20 stores configuration definition information associated with a plurality of networks having the logic channel such as a frame relay network and an ATM network. The PPP control section 23 applies bulk transfer control to packets received through the Ethernet port 11 according to information of a destination device and the configuration definition information of the configuration definition section 20 accessed via the frame relay port 12.
