PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To communicate data with a large scale through a network managed by the SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol). SOLUTION: In the network management system consisting of a network management NMS(Network Management Systems) 2 for integrally managing communication units and an integrated NMS 1 for integrally managing a plurality of the network management NMS 2 through data communication in compliance with the SNMP, the integrated NMS 1 acquires data of an outline information file 2c storing information such as a file path of a detailed information file 2b storing large scale data from the network management NMS 2 in compliance with the SNMP, extracts the file path of the detailed information file 2b from the acquired data, uses no SNMP but uses a file adoption protocol such as the FTP (File Transfer protocol and the HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) to acquire the detailed information file 2b thereby managing the network without imposing a load on the communication by the SNMP in the case of communication of large scale data.
