PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the fluctuation and noise of the output of a head caused by the magnetization distribution in a magnetic film of a reproduction head inside. SOLUTION: The magnetization distribution in the magnetic film is arranged to have the one most stabilized state by changing the shape of a free layer in the head to the shape having the lower symmetry than that of a rectangular thin film, e.g. to a parallelogramic thin film, and it is made so as to return to the one stabilized state even though the magnetization distribution in the magnetic film is affected with the fluctuation due to the magnetic field from a medium, magnetic field from a recording head, external disturbance, etc.
