FIELD: electronic equipment, possibly manufacture of luminescent screens and displays. SUBSTANCE: electrolyte for making porous silicon by electrochemical etching of monocrystalline silicon contains aqueous (50%) solution of hydrofluoric acid and ethanol taken in relation 1:1 and it also contains silica with concentration no more than 2 mol/l. Such electrolyte provides shift of spectrum of photoluminescence of porous silicon to visible band of spectrum. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 tbl, 1 ex
