PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent falling off of a leader pin when an impact is applied to a cartridge case, for a magnetic tape cartridge in which the cartridge case is formed by integrally joining an upper case and a lower case and provided on a side wall with an opening for drawing out a tape and a slide door to open and close the opening, a single reel wound around with a magnetic tape is rotatably housed in the cartridge case and a slender pin fixed on the tip of the magnetic tape is attachably and detachably held between pin-holding recesses provided to the upper and lower cases on the opening for drawing out the tape. SOLUTION: The slide door 11 is provided with engaging projections 11c, 11c which can engage, at the close position of the slide door 11, with slender shaft sections 5c, 5c of the leader pin P held between the pin-holding recesses 20, 20.
