PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetically driven motor which copes fully with mounting conditions to various products, such as extension to a small-sized product, and an electromagnetically driven stop device having the motor. SOLUTION: The motor is equipped with a rotor, a stator and a coil for exciting the stator. A first magnetic pole part is made to face a magnetized part of the rotor. A second magnetic pole part and a third magnetic pole part are isolated from the first magnetic pole part to the opposite side by an electrical angle of about 180 deg.. The stator is made to face the magnetized part of the rotor. A positioning part for positioning the stator between a first magnetic pole part and a second magnetic pole part or between the first magnetic pole part and the third magnetic pole part, on a fixing member for fixing and holding the stator. At least a part of the positioning part is made to permeate and be arranged in the rotor side to a rotor outside diameter tangential line which is parallel with the coil end surface.
