COLOR CONVERSION TABLE GENERATING METHOD, COLOR CONVERSION METHOD AND IMAGE PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion table generating method and a color conversion method by which better color reproduction is conducted not relying on a rule of thumb and trial-and-error. SOLUTION: First CMY axes are taken radially around the origin on a plane (A). The plane can express all colors expressed in two of the CMY colors. The color space is generated by adding the K axis perpendicularly to the CMY plane (B). The colors expressed by the space are colors of the CMY plane generated above to which a black color is added resulting in including all the required colors. The correspondence relation between points in the space and points in the L*a*b* space is formed into a table so as to conduct the color conversion.
