PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely inform a monitor center of a power failure occurring to a monitor device with simple constitution in a remote monitor system which reports the monitor result of the monitor device by radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: A power source part 72 of the monitor device 58 and a power source part 78 of a PHS(personal handyphone system) line control part 60 detect power failures individually. When the power failure of the monitor device 58 is reported to the monitor center 52, a power failure alarm flag in a memory part 80 is set. If the power failure of the PHS line control part 60 is detected within a specific time after the flag setting, the alarming of the power failure of the PHS line control part 60 is suppressed to prevent congestion of communication.
