FIELD: devices for direct reduction of lumpy material, particularly, material containing iron oxide and/or sponge iron. SUBSTANCE: shaft furnace has screw conveyors running through its jacket for unloading of lumpy material from shaft furnace. Screw conveyors are located above zone of shaft furnace bottom and secured in shaft furnace jacket. Conveying zone in longitudinal direction is made in the form of two sections whose cross-section in direction of conveyance increases in jumpwise manner to ensure uniform unloading of material as compared with usual screw conveyors.
