PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent banding due to tilting of the bristles of a cleaning brush, caused when a device is not used for a long time. SOLUTION: The cleaning brush 4 is installed on a photoreceptor drum 1. The brush 4 is rotated for a specified time, in the case of warming-up when the power source of the device is applied. Thus, image defects due to the tilting of the bristles of the brush 4 formed, when the device in not used (standstill time) prior to the application of the power source is prevented. |
