PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a disk array device which improves the performance and is optimum in cost. SOLUTION: Data causing transferring between clusters is constituted of a semiconductor cache of a store through system and an auxiliary cache using a disk. This disk is used also as a disk for saving contents of a cache at the time of a power break. Consequently, the disk of the auxiliary cache can be used in common with a disk used in a disk array control system which temporarily saves contents of the cache in the disk at the time of a power break. |
