A cosmetic composition with reduced tack, comprising an active ingredient such as an emollient or a fragrance, and a carrier of from 5-50% of a silicone fluid phase with at least one hydroxy functionalised silicone fluid and at least one stabilizing agent, from 40-95% of a gellant/solvent phase of a mixture of dibenzylidene sorbitol and at least one solvent.
