Combating pathogenic agents in agronomically useful plants comprises application of a resistance inducer obtained from fenugreek Trigonella Foenum graecum seed extracts. An Independent claim is also included for preparation of the inducer which comprises crushing fenugreek seeds, separating the cotyledon and endosperm from the tegument and gum, mixing the cotyledon and endosperm with water, extracting the active material with water under agitation.
