IMAGE COPYING MACHINE, READ CONTROL METHOD FOR INITIAL OPERATION TIME, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image copying machine, an initial operation time read control method, a storage medium, and a program which can provide a read image of high quality without exerting any influence on the startup time of the image copying machine while actualizing energy-saving operation by performing control so that dust position information for proper shading correction is updated when a reader part of the image copying machine is started up. SOLUTION: An EEPROM 405 as a nonvolatile memory which is provided on a reader substrate 212 of the image copying machine is stored with a startup mode (normal startup mode or sleep startup mode) of the reader part at next power-on time and a CPU 401 of the reader substrate 212 performs the control so that the dust position information for shading correction is adequately updated when the reader part is started up.
