POWER SAVING DEVICE FOR MONITOR AND ITS POWER SAVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power saving device of a monitor whose power consumption is low and whose return time to a normal state is fast and its power saving method and also to provide a power saving device of the monitor which is operated with a kind of power saving mode signal and its power saving method. SOLUTION: The power saving device of the monitor is constituted to be provided with a control unit 20 which generates a power saving mode signal by a control signal to be inputted from an external signal source 10, a first switching unit 40 which is connected to the control unit 20 and turns driving power which is to be supplied from a power supplying means 30 to a deflection driving means ON/OFF by the power saving mode signal, a second switching unit 50 which operates together with the first switching unit 40 and turns power which is to be supplied from the power supplying means 30 to a heater ON/OFF by an output signal from the unit 40 and a voltage dropping unit 60 which is connected between the means 30 and the heater and drops a voltage which is to be applied from the means 30 to supply it to the heater when the unit 50 is turned OFF.
