PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the durability of an electrophotographic device higher by accelerating and evaluating a photoreceptor superior in wear resistance corresponding to a real machine, in order to prolong the life time of the electrophotographic device and make the maintenance thereof free, and also to realize device design considering the wear and abrasion of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This photoreceptor-evaluating device controls any of the ratio of the circumferential speed difference of an electrifying member in an electrifying means 101 to the photoreceptor 102, the abutting width of the electrifying member on the photoreceptor 102 and the abutting pressure of the electrifying member on the photoreceptor 102. Substance, obtained by applying conductive particles to the surface of an elastic member or a magnetic brush, is used as the electrifying means 101. In the case of evaluating the wear and abrasion of the photoreceptor 102, one or more of the ratio of the circumferential speed difference, the abutting width and the abutting pressure are controlled to perform evaluation. The electrophotographic device is made to have similar constitution, abrasion loss X [nm/rotation] per one rotation of the photoreceptor is set to <=0.003×D/S, when it is defined that the outside diameter of the photoreceptor is D [mm] and the moving speed of the surface of the photoreceptor is S [mm/sec].
