PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion-coupling detecting connector which can realize opening of a spring at time of proper coupling in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A female-side connector housing 20 is provided with a slider which can move aslant against the insertion-coupling direction with a male-side connector housing 10 and a coil spring 30 biasing the slider 40 toward front of the insertion-coupling direction. When the both connector housings 10, 20 are insertion-coupled, a hooking protrusion 12 of the male-side connector housing 10 strikes against a locking protrusion 42, and pushes the slider 40 backward. When a proper insertion-coupling state is reached, no more engaging margin is left between the hooking protrusion 12 and the locking protrusion 42, the slider 40 returns to the front end position by restoring deformation of the coil spring 30, with the locking protrusion 42 hooked onto the backside of the hooking protrusion 12, so that the both connector housings 10, 20 are locked together never to be separated.
