摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image pickup device capable of improving the picture fidelity of a detector arranged at the central part by reducing storage dark currents by reducing the reading time of the signal charge of a photoelectric conversion element, and reducing the leak of the charge from a pass through area to the detector area. SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion circuit having 6×6 pixels is divided into four 1/4 photoelectric conversion circuits having 3×3 pixels, and the 1/4 photoelectric conversion circuits are arrayed like a 'two-by-two matrix', and read circuits are arranged on the upper side and lower side, and shift registers are arranged on the right side and left side. Those respective 1/4 photoelectric conversion circuits are operated in the same operating timing, and the scan directions of shift registers SR1 are directed from the read circuit sides to the central sides, that is, from the outsides to the insides.</p>
