PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head support mechanism which enables high-speed and high-precision tracking corresponding to the narrow track pitch accompanying the increase of surface recording density and which is provided with constitution of concrete practical level including the easy manufacturing, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same and an information recording and reproducing device using the mechanism. SOLUTION: The head support mechanism constituted of a head which is tracked by a main driving means and of a slider to support the head, is provided with a sub-driving means to fine adjust the head by rotating the slider, and the sub-driving means is equipped with an adjusting section to adjust the dynamic balance around a rotary shaft.
