PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamo-electric machine which can increase a torque with a limited shaft length and can reduce a torque ripple without reducing the torque. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 3a and 4a, fixed to a yoke 6a of a rotor 6 fixed to a rotary shaft 5, are arranged in series in a direction vertical to the center axis of the rotary shaft 5. A stator 3b is provided to face the permanent magnet 3a and a stator 4b is provided to face the permanent magnet 4a. This dynamo-electric machine has a motorA 3 and a motorB 4, comprising the rotor 6 and the stators 3b and 4b and variable power supplies 2a and 2b which drive the motorA 3 and the motorB 4 independently. Further, the dynamo- electric machine is used in a pulley drive device.
