PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system, a semiconductor integrated circuit device and a signal transfer method, in which data transfer matched with operating speed of a device to be used is possible while having simplification and versatility. SOLUTION: The data processing system or the semiconductor integrated circuit device is constituted by connecting a master device with at least one of a plurality of kinds of slave devices with mutually different operating speed by a bi-directional bus and a bus control signal line to control signal transfer between the master device and the slave device, using the bi-directional bus for transmission of a control command in first timing and using it in data transmission in second timing.
