PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance life performance and quality by optimizing a welding state of a strap and an alloy composition of a sealed lead-acid battery and suppressing the deterioration of the sealed battery caused by the corrosion of the strap. SOLUTION: In the lead-acid battery in which positive plates and negative plates are alternately stacked through a separator, electrode plate lugs of the same polarity are welded with additional lead to form a strap, the tip of a lug part of an unmelted part of the positive plate is located inside the strap, the distance from the tip of the lug part to the upper surface of the strap is made larger than the thickness of the lug part of the positive plate, and the tip of a lug part of an unmelted part of the negative plate is located lower than the lower surface of the strap.
