PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply system with high-speed response realized for change of load of the switching power supply in which the load changes sharply and significantly, and also to provide a method of controlling the same system. SOLUTION: This power supply system is far stabilizing load voltage, by connecting in common an output terminal of the first switching power supply and an output terminal of the second switching power supply, setting an inductance element of output filter of the second switching power supply smaller than an inductance element of an output filter of the first switching power supply, realizing forward conversion operation, such as voltage drop of the second switching power supply when a load current increases rapidly within the load variation period, and realizing backward converting operation, such as rise of voltage of the second switching power supply, when the load current changes sharply within the load variation period.
