PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide small-sized optical communication equipment having superior circuit characteristics to high frequencies. SOLUTION: A light emitting module has a transmission line section which transmits high-frequency signals used for modulating light, an optical semiconductor element 20 which receives the high-frequency signals from the transmission line section and outputs modulated light, and a terminating resistance section connected to the element 20. The element 20 is provided with an electrode 22 connected to the transmission line section, a connection pad 25 which connects the electrode 22 to the terminating resistance section, and a conductor pattern 24 which is arranged between the electrode 22 and pad 25 and has a predetermined inductance value.
