PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate adverse effects of thermal expansion of electron-gun electrodes during a heat process, while assuring the accuracy of positioning the electrodes during the assembly of the electrodes. SOLUTION: The in-line type electron-gun electrode for use with a cathode- ray tube has two or more positioning reference holes 15a and 15b other than electron-beam holes 12a, 12b and 12c. The centers of the reference holes 15a and 15b are arranged in symmetrical positions with respect to the center electron-beam hole 12b and the reference holes 15a and 15b have different shapes.
