PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely reset a device from outside even when a door or a building has a structure which hardly transmits an electromagnetic wave, etc. SOLUTION: The burglar preventing device 1 immediately sounds an alarm when detecting the door 7 being opened and has a resetting means which can reset the alarming in advance; and resetting means 2 and 15 are mounted at the inside end of a door scope 4 provided to the door and each of the means has an infrared-ray detection part 2 which can receive an infrared-ray signal sent from outside the door 7 through the door scope 4 so that the alarming is reset on receiving the infrared-ray signal.
