PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a coil at the appropriate position of a center magnetic pole of a magnetic material core without giving the damage to the coil. SOLUTION: Since the coil 5 in the current flowing state is depressed onto the lower surface of a glass flat plate 12 being in contact with the upper end surface 3a of the center magnetic pole 3 by the electro-magnetic force generated by a magnetic circuit which consists of a permanent magnet 17, a magnetic flux passage member 18 and the magnetic material core 4 in a horizontal magnetic field generator 16, the upper end surface 3a of the center magnetic pole 3 and the upper end surface 5a of the coil 5 are positioned to have nearly the same height, and a magnetic head 1 having the optimum magnetic field generation efficiency and also the minimum inductance is manufacture. Thus, the heat generation of the magnetic head 1 and the power consumption are reduced.
