The process for detecting a radiological image uses a calibration phase, followed by a reading phase. Images are derived in pairs, the first being an offset image which precedes a useful image. Several calibration pairs are used prior to a reading phase. The photosensitive device comprises part of a matrix of photosensitive points, formed by means of deposition of semiconductor material. The method of control of the device includes carrying out a reading phase with a cycle of images. A useful image is preceded by at least one offset image taken at an initial time point. A correction function is applied to the useful image, the correction function being formed at the initial time point (ti), and based on the time interval separating the offset image from the useful image. Before the reading phase is used, the system makes use of a calibration phase, which is based on several pairs of offset images.
