PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for dynamo-electric machine, capable of stabilizing the sliding of a field coil and a clippage block, caused by the thermal elongation of the field coil of a rotor during operation and reducing the bending amount of a rotor shaft. SOLUTION: A low hardness body, such as aluminum or copper, is attached onto the clippage block contact surface of a wedge or a teeth contact surface. When the temperature of the field coil rises, and thermal elongation occurs in the axial direction of the rotor by energizing the field coil, the friction coefficient between members with which the low hardness body is brought into contact rises, thereby eliminating the occurrence of the sliding. The sliding occurs only on the contact surface of the clippage block and the field coil with the lowest friction coefficient, thus the rotor capable of stabilizing an moment arm to the shaft can be provided, and preventing the shaft from bending.
